One example taken from the range of services we provide
In 2004, the Neuruppin – Wittstock Prignitz Express line was upgraded. On behalf of DB Projektbau GmbH, DB Bahnbau GmbH from February 2004 to February 2005 installed new telecommunications technology and laid all the cabling for the control and safety systems required for the electronic signal boxes. The project, which is valued at EUR 2.45 million, was completed in less than 12 months.
The opening of the Neuruppin – Wittstock line and the restart of scheduled services took place on 27.02.2005.
At Deutsche Bahn AG's Erfurt location, we have installed a campus network, i.e. glass fibre links to all clients. This project involves a pilot system with a decentralised server location and a new type of server network. An ATM laser link (range: 800m, data rate: 20-155MBps, optical data: GaAIAs laser, wavelength: 780-850 m) was used for the purpose. Order value: approx. EUR 250,000; completion period: January 2000 to December 2000.
Within Bahnbau Group, these services are provided by DB Bahnbau GmbH.
