Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
We are fully committed to our social responsibilities, which is why we have defined economic, ecological and social objectives for all of our activities. We underscored this in 2021 when we voluntarily underwent a corporate social responsibility (CSR) audit. It was performed by DQS GmbH, and we achieved 99 % of the set targets.
Our goals are reinforced by the DB Code of Conduct for Business Partners, which companies are obliged to uphold when they work with us. Thanks to this, we can collectively set our sights on working towards a sustainable future.

Establishment of the DB Bahnbau Gruppe
DB Bahnbau Gruppe GmbH is the round-the-clock full service provider of rail infrastructure. The subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn came into being in 2010 through the merger of the companies DB Bahnbau GmbH, Deutsche Gleis- und Tiefbau GmbH, Deutsche Bahn Gleisbau GmbH, as well as Ibb – Ingenieur,- Brücken- und Tiefbau GmbH. MOS – Mobile Oberbau Schweißtechnik GmbH – had previously merged into the company.

2010

The new DB Bahnbau Gruppe GmbH starts out with the service units Track Works, Technical Systems and General Contractor (Germany and International).
2011

The two service units "General Contractor" and "Track Works" replace the station throat at Oslo main station.
The "Track Works" team build on the Oebisfelde-Gardelegen route.2012

Founding of the service unit Structural engineering with the organizational units Recycling, Dresden bridge workshop, and Special Construction. Construction completed on the Berlin-Cottbus route, in which all service units of DB Bahnbau Gruppe GmbH were involved.
2013

The service unit Prime Contractor Projects successfully sets up the Fürstenberg Neustrelitz building site.
The new training facility in Halle Ammendorf is founded and established. The German Projects team builds the northern integration for City Tunnel Leipzig.2014

First in-house exhibition of DB Bahnbau Gruppe GmbH at the Augsburg site.
The organizational unit Underground cable installation/Third rail is founded and established.2015

The second organizational unit Bridge workshop in Grünsfeld is founded.
2016

The organizational unit Telecommunications is founded and established.
German Projects team builds the Dresdener Straße railroad overpass in Frankfurt/Oder.2017

The Dresden bridge workshop celebrates its 90th anniversary.The Gleislabor Lab, the ideasmith of DB Bahnbau Gruppe GmbH, is brought to life. The Prime Contractor Projects service unit is involved in two large-scale projects in Israel, and renews and builds new ballasted tracks.
2018

The ICE depot Köln-Nippes is equipped with a state-of-the-art photovoltaic system by the Electromechanical engineering service unit.
2019

Foundation of the Bridge building organizational unit based in Hamm.
2020

German Projects team builds large-scale projects “Magdeburg hub”, “Horka-Niesky” route, and “Niesky-Lohsa” route.
DB Bahnbau Gruppe GmbH is 10 years old.2021

2022

The large-scaled project Wendlingen-Ulm was completed and the line was put into operation.
Expansion of the ICE factory in Rummelsburg by the equipment service unit. Fahrbahn Mitte supports the expansion of the S6 line in Frankfurt am Main.2023

The DB Bahnbau Gruppe achieves a total output of over 1 billion euros for the first time.
Fahrbahn West builds in cooperation with GU-Projekte on the large-scaled project Oberhausen-Emmerich (upgraded line 46/2). The cooperation agreement with DB Engineering & Consulting on the 360° Multisensor Platform is signed.2024

The DB Bahnbau Gruppe grows to over 4,000 employees and more than 500 young professionals.
Rail renewal on the Cologne-Rhine/Main high-speed line is successfully completed. The MetaWindow is presented to the public and used for the first time on an S-Bahn line between Hamburg and Bad Oldesloe.
